Transportation

Free Transportation:

Elementary or middle school students must live more than two miles from the school designated for attendance. High school students must live more than three miles from the school designated for attendance. The free and reduced lunch program does not automatically qualify a student to ride the bus.

The student must live in the North High area and live over 3 miles from North to ride the DART for free.

DART:

Dart buses service selected middle and high schools. Eligible and assigned students are issued a “DART” sticker for their school ID, allowing access to regular DART routes.

All other middle and high school students may ride DART buses with their student ID, after 4:00 PM on weekdays and on weekends, and during breaks at no charge, (no sticker needed). DART stickers can not be purchased through school.

The first student ID is free, (with or without a DART sticker) replacement IDs are $5.00 each and each temporary daily bus pass, (for qualifying riders), is $1.00. Student IDs are coordinated in the Counseling Office. We do not accept credit for any replacements. Students must pay at the time of the request.
