Urban Dreams and North High School Partner to Raise Money for Scholarships

Urban Dreams is honored to partner with North High School and their Boys Basketball team to host the inaugural Urban Dreams Classic Scholarship Basketball Game.

On Saturday, January 26, 2019, Urban Dreams will raise money for two scholarships. The scholarships will go to North High School seniors who have shown grit, determination, and community/school involvement.

The 2019 Urban Dreams Scholarship Basketball Classic will feature North High School Boys versus DeLaSalle Catholic High School. This game is a matchup of two powerhouse teams who are loaded with next level talent.

In 2018, the North Boys Basketball reached number one in the state of Iowa and featured the highest scoring offense in 4A boys basketball. North is led by South Alabama commit senior point guard Tyreke Locure who led the state in steals and assists while averaging 28 points per game. DeLaSalle is coming off a second place finish in Minnesota’s 3A after winning six straight state championships. The Islanders are led by 4-star Stanford commit, senior point guard Tyrell Terry and 2-star George Washington commit, small forward Jamison Battle.

North Varsity Boys vs. DeLaSalle Varsity Boys will tip at 5 p.m. All tickets are $5. All proceeds from the sponsors, tickets sales, and concessions will go to the North High Booster Club, North Boys Basketball, the scholarships, and Urban Dreams. During halftime of the game, North High principal and Urban Dreams board member, Ben Graeber, will do a short presentation.
