DMPS & North High Science Fair Results

On Thursday, February 8th, 16 Science Bound students presented their research at the DMPS district science fair at the Science Center of Iowa. There were 6 students that automatically qualified for the State Science & Technology Fair at Iowa State University on March 22nd.

In the category of Consumer Science, sophomore Akpobari Godpower earned 2nd place and junior Jayda Anaya-Negrete earned 3rd place.
In the category of Earth and Environmental Science, sophomore Nayely Velazquez earned 1st place and junior Juan Carlos Oropeza earned 2nd place.
In the category of Physical Science freshman Aima Mukiza earned 2nd place and freshman Cazia Stallings earned 3rd place.
Other students could earn at-large qualifications based on results from the district science fair to be announced at the Science Bound meeting on Tuesday after school.
