North High JROTC Rifle Team Wins Western US Regional Championships

The North High Varsity shooting team competed at the CMP Western U.S. Regional Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah this past weekend. North won the 2-day event with a combined score of 4309, beating Lebanon, Oregon for the title while Flowings Wells, Arizona came in 3rd. Teams from all over the western United States were represented to include teams from Alaska and Hawaii. Nicole Masteller finished in 2nd place overall, followed by Kevin Nguyen- 8th and Sydney Krejci in 9th.  North rifle team travels again to Camp Perry in Ohio on June 20th-25th for the CMP National Championships.  – GySgt Mike Gettler, Marine Instructor & Rifle Team Coach
