North High Music Program Fundraiser

On Sunday, October 14th, we had a special performance by the North High Jazz Band sponsored by the North High Band Boosters and North High Alumni Association.  The North High class of 1968 were celebrating their 50th year class reunion and ended the weekend festivities with “A Concert and Conversation celebrating  50 Trips Around the Sun.”  This event featured NHS Alumni Musicians Teja Bell (class of 1968) along with the Samurai Acoustic Trio, Dartanyan Brown (class of 1967) and North High Hall of Fame Inductee John Tinker (class of 1968).  This celebration of music, the arts and education raised over $1800 for the North High Band Program!  Teja Bell and his trio played most of the music which featured many Beatles tunes and they closed the program with the hit song “Stand By Me.”  Dartanyan Brown was very instrumental in organizing this event to support North High and the North students in Band.  Pictures were taken by Steve Pendry, class of 1963.  There was certainly a den full of Polar Bears for this event.  Thank you all for your support of North High School!
