Academic Decathlon Qualifies for State Competition

North High’s Academic Decathlon team qualified for the 2020 State competition!  Team members Alex Alvarado-Barahona, Cindy Hoang, Elizabeth Phan, Vera Snodgrass, Lynn Phu, Allyna Inn, and Abaigeal Evans ranked among the top 12 large schools in the state of Iowa.  North’s team placed second in the Central Iowa Regionals Super Quiz competition.  Vera Snodgrass and Alex Alvarado-Barahona received first-place recognition in their divisions for their performance in the speech competition.  Lynn Phu earned 2nd place in interview and 3rd place in art for her division. Please congratulate these team members and wish them well for the state competition in March!
